About ICT Engineering
Scott Miller founded the company in 1995. With corporate headquarters in Appleton, WI, Scott quickly established the company as the technology leader in turnkey development in the Midwest.
In 1999, the company moved its headquarters to Prescott, WI – part of the Minneapolis – Saint Paul metro area. In 2013 we moved again to Ellsworth, WI.
ICT Engineering has a rich set of both proprietary and industry standard tools. We have been tool builders since the beginning. Our tool-set allows us to have very consistent quality, and fast delivery times – even on those custom jobs other vendors balk at.
With our key engineering staff’s 50+ years of test experience, we have already solved most of the problems other vendors are still trying to figure out.
Meet Our Team
ICT Engineering was founded in 1995. Our engineering staff is highly experienced on the 3070. Our head engineer has been programming 3070s since revision A1.00 of the system software, with 6 years of prior experience on the 3065.
Scott Miller
Founder, Owner, and President, Scott Miller has been knocking around the test industry since 1981. He started with computer automated test equipment in 1981, designing hardware and writing software in machine code on the venerable TRS-80. Scott started working with the HP3065 in 1984, quickly establishing a national reputation as a technology leader. He donated over 100 programs to the public domain through the HP user groups, some of which are still in use today.
After 8 years in the aerospace industry, Scott left the Midwest for IBM in Austin TX, where he was involved in the manufacturing launch of the IBM RS6000 workstation. While at IBM, he took delivery of the 3rd 3070 system sold outside of Hewlett Packard. Returning to the Midwest in 1990, he brought that experience to one of the major contract manufacturers in the country and while there gained an appreciation for the industry’s need for quick, accurate test services.
In 1995 he made the decision to start his own business, which has prospered and grown into ICT Engineering.
Prior to his life in technology, he was a professional musician, touring the country with rock and jazz bands. He also worked as a recording engineer and record producer. Finally, Scott is an avid trading enthusiast currently stalking setups in the forex markets.
Dave Sime
Dave first learned electronics by hanging around his grandfather’s TV repair shop, as well as by reading and doing AV work at his high school. After 4 years in the US Air Force as a communications specialist, Dave went back to school and then went to work at an aerospace company. After a few years, he took a job working for a medical electronics company as a test engineer. Nearly 10 years later, Dave was hired by a growing contract manufacturer and became their test lab supervisor. While there, he started working with the 3070 test system. Hired by Scott Miller in 1998, Dave became the lead test engineer for ICT engineering.
In his spare time, Dave is an avid sportsman who enjoys fishing, hunting, camping and canoeing.
